The “baby making hips” weren’t “baby holding hips”, and I was baffled. How could hips so wide lie?

If you’ve never worked in the restaurant industry, chances are you have no idea how much you irritate your server when you eat out. The following is a list I wrote after an excruciating double-shift on a Sunday in which the after-church crowd got the best of me.

I loved the way you used to let my hair hang low and tickle the arch of my back, and how I got more attention from the opposite sex when you were a part of my life, and even how folks could tell I had some Black in me when I let you go to work, ha. But our relationship was not a healthy one.
