BAILOUT REJECTED: Here’s Why

The bill to bailout the financial industry was rejected by the house of representatives in a vote of 228 -205 today. I don’t know about you, but I was sure the bill was going to pass, so this was a huge surprise. In a way I am glad the bill failed - I don’t think the American taxpayers should have to pay for Wall Street’s bad investments.

According to young democrats for America, the 2004 elections marked the largest increase in young voter turnout since 1972. Over 20 million young people ages 18-29 cast a ballot (42 million were eligible to vote), an increase of 4.3 million voters.
