ah Claudine, that movie is a stone cold trip. why only two movies? I would have at least thrown in a Dancing in September or Hav Plenty jess to be a lil indie wit it. Hope everyone sees Medicine for Melancholy in theatres now. I hate to say it but none of my three picks have a necessarily happy ending…i guess that’s why they didn’t make the cut.
but hey, what about A Piece of the Action with Sidney Poitier, Bill Cosby AND James Earl Jones? There was romance and community service all wrapped in one…THAT would be a good pick wouldn’t it?

I read an article about Medicine for Melancholy, I really want to see it! Also, two other good ones are I’m Through With White Girls (love this! love this! love this!) and Premium. Love Jones, Carmen Jones, and Boomerang will always be my favorites…
man, i haven’t thought about Claudine in a loooong minute. thanks for reminding me.
let’s not forget Mahogony http://70s.fast-rewind.com/
