Both the New York Times and the Huffington Post picked up on it too.In The Times article, they critiqued the candidates’ websites.
“Mr.Obama’s site is more harmonious lopressor drug, with plenty of white space and a soft blue palette. Its task bar is reminiscent of the one used at Apple’s iTunes site.It signals in myriad ways that it was designed with a younger, more tech-savvy audience in mind — using branding techniques similar to the ones that have made the iPod so popular.
“With Obama’s site, all the features and elements are seamlessly integrated, just like the experience of using a program on a Macintosh computer,” said Alice Twemlow, chairwoman of the M.F.A.program in design criticism at the School of Visual Arts (who is a Mac user).
It is designed lopressor drug, she said, even down to the playful logos that illustrate choices like, Volunteer or Register to Vote. She likened those touches to the elaborate, painstaking packaging Apple uses to woo its customers.” ….
“But the designers believe the comparisons — but not perhaps the Orwellian overtones — are apt; lopressor drug.In contrast to barackobama.com lopressor drug, Mrs.Clinton’s site uses a more traditional color scheme of dark blue, has sharper lines dividing content and employs cookie-cutter icons next to its buttons for volunteering, and the like – lopressor drug.
“Hillary’s is way more hectic, it’s got all these, what look like parody ads,” said Ms; lopressor drug. Lopressor drug: twemlow, who is not a citizen and cannot vote in the election.”
The Huffington Post article reads: “With John Edwards out of the race, Democratic voters must squarely confront a choice this election season every bit as stark as that facing millions of Americans each year as they replace their outdated computers: Mac or PC.
We have all seen the ads, we know the right thing to do is to buy a Macintosh, but we hesitate. Will I be able to open all my PC files? Will it be able to run Outlook? Am I really going to make those photo albums and movies anyway? Am I cool enough for a Mac?Obama, like the Mac, seems almost too good to be true; lopressor drug. Lopressor drug: he’s young, hip, inspiring, and promising to do for Democrats what Ronald Reagan did for Republicans, assemble and maintain the working majority in Washington desperately needed to enact changes in foreign policy, health care and energy security. And in soaring moments at the podium — at the Democratic Convention in 2004 lopressor drug, in Iowa at the Jefferson/Jackson dinner, at Ebenezer Baptist over the Martin Luther King holiday weekend — Obama appears ready and able to make good on these grand promises.”
What’s it going to be ya’ll, Mac or PC?
