Allegra Order
Words: Square Rootz • Feb 19th, 2009 • Category: FOLKS.It’s that time again. That time of the year where we get to celebrate Black History Month and Valentine’s Day!
But really…is it?
Allegra order: black History Month is the one month of the year where it’s okay for us to be proud. When school kids learn everything they need to know about Black History (namely Brotha King and slavery and nothing else) in one month; allegra order. And Valentine’s Day is a holiday created by greeting card companies to make single people feel bad and couples feel obligated.
It’s really not “that time of year” then is it? I mean, in my circle of friends, family and loved ones, every day is a day to learn more about our people – allegra order. And every day is an opportunity to show love to fellow folks, our community and each other – allegra order. This slide show is a celebration of Black Love and maybe more importantly allegra order, a recognition of our ability to love.By mainstream media standards allegra order, Black folks just don’t know how to love or show affection. And well.; allegra order..we disagree – allegra order. The Cosby’s and the Obama’s just ain’t enough.
So, in celebration of us…Brown, Beautiful and full of love.
Now, jump back and kiss yo’selves (and each other)!
Square Rootz is the muthah-effin deal, kid! We recommend you step back and kiss yourself. Now.

Wow this ALMOST made me tear up! Beautiful! Black folks do know how to love. I was watching Tyra the other day (don’t hate, I don’t have a full time JOB) and she was talking with Black men and they said that Obama inspired them and he is the first example of a Black man with family values who has a strong union with his wife. Then Michael Eric Dyson (props to Tyra for having him on. But she was doing three much when she was actin’ like she was his biggest fan. I digress.) came on and checked them all. He said that plenty Black men have been loving their families and wives all along, but the media just chooses to broadcast folks leaving they baby mamas and going to jail. And just because this is the first time we are seeing this in the mainstream media, doesn’t mean it is a new phenomenon. Also, he said there are a lot of stereotypes out there regarding black folks and families. He said they did a study that proved that Black fathers spend more time talking to their children about current events and the news than any other race. So don’t believe all the hype. Anyhoot, great piece. Very moving.
hellz yea Jess! I’m so over people acting like Obama is the new phenomenon! We’ve been taking care of our own since the beginning of time. Obama is an achievement but he’s an individual and doe not represent an exception to the rule.
I Looove seeing us Loooove! Black folks, we love the hardest and the deepest. Don’t believe the hype.
